FAS Maintains Commitment To Prevent COVID-19 At Training Ground

In the efforts to prevent the spreading of the Covid-19 outbreak, the Selangor Football Association (FAS) has taken precautionary measures to safeguard the safety of Selangor's players and officials.

All the players and officials of the Selangor squad results have been identified as negative from the COVID-19 following the screening test conducted on June 15.

Starting from the earlier of this week, the Selangor squad has started a team training session based on a schedule made to prepare for the upcoming league match.

FAS has also established an Anti-COVID-19 Coordinator to ensure and monitor players, officials, and those related to the team free of the outbreak symptoms before and after training.

"Although there are many differences in terms of training, it is FAS's priority in safeguarding players and officials in preventing the outbreak," said Faiz Ruslan, Anti-COVID-19 Coordinating Officer, and Coordinator of the Selangor squad.

In addition, he will also ensure that the training equipment will be cleaned and disinfected regularly before and after the training session to ensure that the equipment is safe for use.

FAS actions are in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the Malaysian Football League (MFL) with the provisions of the National Security Council (MKN), the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS).

We hope that the steps taken will help the team continue to train until MKN, MOH, KBS, and MFL announce their next plan.
